Jersey Airport is preparing for a week of busy half-term travel, and is advising passengers to arrive in good time for their flights. The airport is expecting more than 23,000 passengers over the bank holiday weekend (Fri-Mon).
With a large number of flights, many departing within minutes of each other, passengers are advised to leave plenty of time to check in their hold luggage and clear security. There may be queues at busy times, but Ports of Jersey teams will ensure that everyone gets to their flights as quickly as possible.
Head of Security, Maria Le Tiec, said: “Many UK airports do not yet have the same security process as we have here in Jersey, so passengers should check the requirements of every airport they are travelling through. Some airports will still require any liquids to be in 100ml containers in clear plastic bags.”
Each airport’s website will provide information on its own security rules, but the general advice is to follow instructions given by airport staff when going through Security.
